DISCOVERING THE BUSHMEN & OKAVANGO DELTA

Day 1: Windhoek

Arrival in the capital and transfer to your accommodation at the Safari Hotel, board and breakfast only.

Day 2: Ghanzi

Departure from the capital and crossing the border to Botswana to meet the bushmen of the Kalahari desert; camp at trailblazer, full board.

Day 3: Maun

After breakfast, walk with the bushmen to discover their traditional way of life. Then, drive to Maun, the tourist capital of the country. Possibility to undertake optional activities (example: flight over the Okavango Delta)

Day 4 & 5: Okavango Delta – Moremi National Park

Morning and late afternoon photo safari and discovery of the Okavango Delta. Overnight in a canvas room in Moremi Park or in the vicinity of Nkwai village.

Day 6 & 7. Kavango River – Ngepi camp

We cross the border back into Namibia to explore the Kavango region and the Caprivi Strip. Photo safari in Mahango National Park in the morning and mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) on the ﬂeuve Kavango in the afternoon in search of crocodiles, hippos and many birds. We will camp on the banks of the Kavango River.

Day 8: Caprivi Strip – Kwando River

Photo safari in Bwabwata Park, the largest wildlife park in this region and also part of the part of the non-enclosed transborder park between Namibia, Angola, Botswana and Zambia.

Day 9 & 10: Botswana – Chobe

Today we return to Botswana via another border and discover the Chobe River. Dawn photo safari in the Chobe Park, renowned for being the park with the highest concentration of elephants in Africa. Afternoon safari cruise on the Chobe River until sunset. Camping on the banks of the Chobe River, full board.

Day 11 & 12: Hwange National Park

Cross the border into Zimbabwe and discover its largest national wildlife park. Camping at Ivory camp or similar.
Photo safari the next day early in the morning and in the late afternoon. Bivouac, full board.

Day 13: Victoria Falls

We will discover the Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and among the most impressive waterfalls in the world. Guided tour of Victoria Falls and optional activities (e.g. helicopter flight over the falls)
